We offer several different degrees of relicing, (up to you) from lightly reliced to heavily reliced. Unfortunately, we have ceased relicing any finishes that are not our own. Most guitars today are finished in a poly-type paint, which is great for automobiles but it is difficult to achieve a realistic aged finish on a guitar with a poly-type finish. We want you to be proud of your guitar, and we want to remain proud of our work. Some new age "nitro" finishes are not true nitro but a hybrid, therefore we stay away from them as well. Cracking is difficult on anything including nitro, and may take quite some time. This can usually be accomplished by you at a later time. Nickel hardware also ages better than chrome hardware.

We can supply necks, bodies and hardware and are a dealer for, and highly recommend Lindy Fralin pickups. Or if you wish to provide your own unfinished body, neck and hardware, we can paint and relic that too.
Solid color and see-thru finishes are only available at this time.

Degrees of Relicing

Light - Guitar obviously played out some, but not abused. Light dings and finish wear only.

Medium - Guitar has more dings, light fretboard wear, light pickguard wear, light hardware aging, cigarette burn, etc.

Heavy - Dragged behind a truck and thru a fire.... enough said!

and done completely old-school.*

Please send unfinished bodies and hardware disassembled. They will also be returned to you this way. Keep in mind that the relic and aging processes are irreversible, and the guitar cannot be returned to it's original condition once we begin these processes.
We cannot refund a deposit after work has begun on a guitar.
